asking about resolution

hi everyone ,
my laptops resolution is 1366x 768 like a lots of laptops resolutions
but my question is , does this means that if im watching a movie or video with 1080p or higher, does it means that im actually not seeing the real 1080p but just a max of 768p :/ ??

Your max resolution wouldn't allow for 1080p video. 1080p is 1920x 1080 which is significantly more pixels than 1366 * 768.

damn .. and im amazed while im watching 4k resolution video on a just 768p ......
what if i watched it on the UHD samsung TV :s wow ...
