Good Morning to you all
I gonna write it short and to the point so that I won't wasting your precious time
Approximate Purchase Date: close month
Budget Range: 800$ Before Rebates; Before Shipping
Main purpose and notes:
1)HTPC
2) Hardcore Gaming (Instead of buying xbox one/ps4)
3)Watching Movies through Netflix or youtube...
4) Gonna run windows 8.1 with Xbmc (movies) and Steam Big Picture launcher (Games)
5) No need for DVD/BR optical Drive, No need Buying Operation System
6)Second Target is it will last as much as possible for long term but will always have the option for future upgrades.
7)In addition to the previous section, I don't believe in overkill parts if they are meant to be last as possible (Please feel free to express you opinion 'bout it)
8) The budget is final and I may settle on more 50$ extra, so please consider this as the main goal
Are you buying a monitor: No
Parts to Upgrade: Complete Build
Do you need to buy OS: No
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Ebay is preferred for the cheap parts (under 100$) and amazon for Expensive parts (If Ebay is still an option)
Parts Preferences: According to Tom's Hardware Articles for best parts
CPU: Intel Core 4690k (Recommended? considering the purpose)
GPU: Radeon R9 280 3GB (Recommended? considering the purpose)
Cpu Cooler: How is the Corsair 4100i 77.0 CFM Luquid (Recommended? considering the purpose)
Ram: Corsair Vegence Pro 8GB DDR 1866 MH2 CAS9 or G.Skill Sniper 8GB?
Case: help with this one,Not willing to spend more than 70$ How can you tell what case gonna match for all the parts that mentioned?, I am looking for case size that at most will double xbox 360's size (Is this too demanding?)
Hard Drive: For me SSD gonna be enough, I don't need more than 120GB and 1T. (less important)
Power Supply: No idea maybe 500W?
Mother Board: I don't know how to pick that will match to the case.Tom's Hardware recommended on ASRock Z97-Extreme6
Overclocking: Yes But will need advice what cooler to use
SLI or Crossfire: Maybe if it fits the budget
Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080
Additional Comments: Quite or low noise will be good (similar to the xbox 360).
Games that gonna be played:
GTA V, Far Cry 4, Assassin's Creed Unity, Battlefield Hardline, Mortal Kombat X, Borderlands the pre-sequal, Titan fall, Watch Dogs and any future games in the next year.
And Most Importantly: HTPC much better than Xbox One and have more options.😀
I am asking you to feel free to express your opinion if I am too demanding.
I will be more than happy to hear your experience and opinions.
