Hello guys.....
I want to get a review on this rig while keeping gaming in mind.....!!

cpu: intel i3 3220

psu: antec vp450

motherboard: gigabyte ga-b75m-d3h

RAM: gskill 4GB 1600MHz 9-9-9-24 CAS (better to go for 2 x 2 than 4 x 1)

GPU: Gigabyte OC 7750

Thanks all....!!

Hard to say with memory, because it's been tested a bunch of times in gaming, and the 8GB really isn't gonna make much difference. But it's not like RAM is expensive any more - infact it's crazy cheap. You are absolutely correct that you'll want a pair of sticks.

So should i buy this rig instead of the one that we built with an i5 3450 processor n all....or not??

The 3450 build was nicer, thought it had a 7770 though? And remember you don't need that cooler if you're buying retail boxed CPU and not overclocking.

Very similar to what I built, see below. The only thing I would have done differently would be going with an i5 possibly but my i-3 3220 is doing the job. I bought the video card used but when it comes to video cards just buy the best you can afford. Right now AMD has the price advantage. I was looking at 7850 /70 right up until I found a 560 Ti used for a good price.

Edit: well my signiture refuses to add to my posts for some reason so here are the specs I went with. I want to upgrade the CPU as prices fall so I went with a bigger cpu fan right away.

MB: ASrock Z77 extreme4 /CPU: i3 3220 with CM EVO push-pull/ RAM: G-skill Ripjaws 12gb / Graphics: Asus GTX 560 Ti 1gb / SSD: Samsung 830 128Gb / PSU: Corsair 750TX / CASE: Antec 900 w/ USB 3.0/ Monitor: Acer GD235hz

You could have gone for the ASRock Z77 extreme3 bcz it is quite cheaper than extreme4......but still....Nice rig....!!!
What games can you play using your i3 3220......???Actually i want my rig to be cheap and have good performance too as i want the expense to be as low as possible......!!
Thanks......!! :)

Right now Just Wow MoP on Ultra and Civ V but I'll be picking up Borderlands 2 soon and some other FPS I haven't decided on yet. I've also got the 560 Ti OC'd to 960 mhz core. I don't anticipate any issue running whatever game I choose but max settings on BF3 and maybe some others will probably not be possible because of the 560 Ti as much as because of the i3 3220.

I wanted low cost as well but I always splurge a little on the mobo. It was only $110 on sale. I used to buy top of the line boards but found it wasn't worth it for me.

8 gig of ram is plenty so just go with that, I had 8 gig to begin with but then Newegg sent me a promo code for ram and I impulse bought 4 more gig in a moment of weakness

The plan is to run the system 4 years with 1 upgrade cycle in about a year and a half to 2 years.
I may do the video card sooner since I saved quite a bit buying used this time. Something you may want to consider.
The CPU I'll upgrade in that time frame to whatever the best chip made for the socket was, while it's still available and low priced. I've got the i7 3770k on newegg watch list just so I can track pricing and availability as time goes on.
