Asking for Gaming PC Build help

Hi everyone, I'm not entirely new to building a PC, but close enough. After staying on gaming consoles for a year or two to satisfy my needs of gaming/entertainment,
I have been dreaming of getting my own PC and after finding out that building one is cheaper, I decided to do some research.

To cut it short, my budget is under $1400 for the desktop without unwanted parts, ie monitors, mouse, keyboard, sound system . I was told I don't need to go over $1000 if all I want to do is play Steam games or Final Fantasy or LoL or Skyrim or Sims at the high end of video quality, BUT, I want to be able to use 3 display monitors.

If anyone can make my dream come true, that would be greatly appreciated.

Is this build too much for what I want to do?

Thanks for the input :)

Solution
I know that I`m going a bit higher that your initial build, but it`s still within budget.
I put in there a stronger GPU, better PSU (the CX from Corsair should only be used for low-end builds on a tight budget), and a cheaper, but amazing case. Also, I lowered the HDD to 1 TB to make room for an SSD:

Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($114.99 @...
The rig you posted is basically the one I own, with minor changes here and there. Im able to play every game that is out so far at ULTRA settings on 1920x1080. I have never gotten lower than 80fps, though i only use 1 screen. Not all games support multiple screens. But that PC would be perfect

Solution
Pr3di's build is good, but like you said in your original post, you don't "need" to spend over 1000 to get a good gaming PC.
This will have no issues running any modern games for the next couple of years, and you can still afford to not eat newspaper after buying it.

The only issue would what specific 3 monitors you have, this GPU only has 1 HDMi and 1 DVI, but 3 Displayport connections. Displayport is the newer better connection format, and newer decent quality monitors have them, but not ones that are only a few years old/cheap models. With my build you could even afford to get 3 new monitors for it that will work.
