I am really interested in buying a new rig after using my dell comp for 5-6 years....it had served me quite well, a mid-spec comp that has 8gb(quad) of ram... but showing it's age.

I am wondering whether can anyone see this new rig is comfortable with each other?

Case: Cooler Master Haf XM (side-window)
Processor: Intel I7-4790
Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 7
RAM: Kingston Hyper-X Fury 1866MHZ (2x8GB) (just for future-proofing)
GPU: MSI R9 280
HDD: 2x1TB Seagate Barracuda(old) ,1x1TB WD Green(old) ,1x2TB WD Green,1x2TB Seagate Barracuda (will add in more in the future if needed but max is 8HDD+SSD)
SSD: Samsung 840 Evo 250GB
PSU: Cooler Master v750s
DVD: Dont know, from old rig (Samsung i think)
Fans: (use those included, maybe will bring old small fan from old rig, not planning for Water-C)

P.S I dont do much about OC, so it is not really important.... but you can recommend me on the categories of GPU(Nvidia/AMD) and PSU if you want... but all these configs is about RM5000(budget), unless stated (old) everything is NEW.

Or, is it better to wait for new motherboards that will use skylake, ddr4 ram and etc??

Other than that, I would like to say thanks for your time in helping me with this BH.:sarcastic:

That looks like a pretty good system. SeaSonic makes excellent power supplies, however you will pay a premium, but if you're looking for something that will last, Seasonic would be my suggestion. Since you can't overclock on non-k chips, the stock cooler should be alright. Assuming you have the money now, I'd go ahead and build now, instead of waiting for the new stuff.

sadly Seasonic is not available in Malaysia, for PSU, the choice is Corsair CM750, Cooler Master V750S, SilverStone Strider 850.

In your opinion, is it better for GPU, MSI R9 280 / MSI N760 TF??

Builds looks good except for the PSU. See if you can find a PSU that is tier one or two on this list and that is 550W and above:

http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1804779/power-supply-unit-tier-list.html

The R9 280 will have better fps in game, so that card gets my vote. If there is a large price difference between the 760 and 280 I'd go for the cheaper card as drumminandstuff93 mentioned, the performance is close.

hmm... just found out that Corsair, Cooler Master and Seasonic is good and available, just need to book from retailers.... however, in this website, https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1231523/all , comparing to all the seasonic models for 750w.....which is good in terms of quality, price and features??

P.S since is 5-6 years for this new rig, forgot to mention maybe will install another amd GPU in the future, so 750w is alright for 2 way? Preferably another of the r9 series and above...
