Procie : Intel Pentium G4560 3.5 GHz Dual-Core LGA 1151 Processor
graphic card : Sapphire RX 460 OC 2GB DDR5 Dual Fan
Mobo : Asrock H110M-HDV - DDR4 (Socket 1151)

pSU : EVGA 400W (100-N1-0400-L1) 400 watt
ram : 2x4 gb (8gb)

You couldve saved some dough and purchased a xeon x5470 if you have a beefy psu or a lowed power e54xx xeon. They retail at around 10-40 USD and can be modded to fit LGA775 motherboards.

Hey, sorry for the late reply (just saw your post). My suggestion is to lean towards the gaming rig but if you can't wait, you could easily purchase the eGPU used and save some money while you buy a PSU and GFX card to use with your laptop until you collect all the parts to make a desktop PC. What are your laptop specs btw? If you have optimus technology you can get improved eGPU performance with compression.
