ASROCK 4core1333-esata2 - maximum allowed ram?

Greetings,

asrock site ( http://asrock.com/mb/Intel/4Core1333-eSATA2/index.de.asp ) is providing this information:
- 4 x DDR2 DIMM slots*
- Max. capacity of system memory: 4GB**

*Before you install memory module on this motherboard, please read below message to avoid any improper installation:

» Due to chipset limitation, if you plan to install three or four memory modules on this motherboard, please install only single-sided memory modules.
» To install two memory modules on this motherboard, please install them on DDRII_1 and DDRII_3 DIMM sockets.

For the detailed installation information, please refer to the user manual or quick installation guide.

**Due to the operating system limitation, the actual memory size may be less than 4GB for the reservation for system usage under Windows® XP and Windows® Vista™. For Windows® XP 64-bit and Windows® Vista™ 64-bit with 64-bit CPU, there is no such limitation.

My question is if max capacity of system memory means that all 4x DIMM slots together must be max 4GB so 1GBx4 DIMM =4GB RAM or each slot can be filled with 4GB so 4GBx4 DIMM=32GB RAM of course with 64-bit system (to be usable).

Actually I don´t know if is there any one sided DDR2 ram memory module due chipset limitation as ASrock site is telling however , one sided 2GB ram should exist so there is still question about at least 16GB ram together.

Your motherbd supports up to four 1GB ram modules, which equal 4GB total. It does not supprt 2gb or 4gb sticks or ram.
I hope that clears up the situation for you.
