I'm planning to get one for gradually upgrading my AXP 2400+ machine. AFAIK, this mobo doesn't support vcore adjustment. I'll also use stock HSF. Is it possible to overclock E4400/E4500 to 3.0/3.3 GHz in this mobo? (300 x whatever multiplier)

This mobo is not available in my country. But my friend is coming from Finland within 2 weeks. He can bring one for me, but the Finnish price seems a bit expensive (€60 at http://multitronic.fi/). Where can he get it at less price? (at Helsinki)

Made a little search from price finders and my favourite shops, and did not find any place under 60e. Sorry for that, but on the other hand I have to live with the prices every day... :?

I had to buy a Sapphire Radeon X1650 Pro AGP 256 MB for US $200 (2 months ago). Hopefully it will cheer you up a bit :)

On the topic, what is the norm overclocking level for E4xxx processors in this board? I may not buy a C2D straightaway, maybe a used Celeron D 2.53/2.66 GHz to keep me going for few months till I have money. How much OC I can expect? Is 4.0 GHz too much to ask? (166 x mult)

the E4 series are perfect for the asrock board because the board supports up to 266fsb by nature, giving you 2.4-2.66 and 2.92 depending on what you start with, there are many ways to do vcore adjustments and there is a section on vrzone (i think) for the manual mods, mostly pencil ones, some people have been lucky enough to get 315fsb on that board.

some help here http://forums.vr-zone.com/forumdisplay.php?s=fbe1b3b4140fdea6f4cc88079236396b&f=56

umm, also, maybe extremesystems or somewhere may be able to help you out with more vmods

I have the 4COREDUAL-VSTA mb running with E4500, cooled by Arctic Freezer Pro 7, using Corsair TWINX-CMX512 memory and an old 4x AGP card. I have it overclocked to 3.02-3.08 GHz range very stable (FSB 275-280 x 11). Both mb and cpu are well below 40C levels all the time. It benchmarks at E6750 levels easily.

I have just ordered some PC2-6400 memory to test with. However, given the prices I am not sure all the hassle of overclocking is worth it.
