Asrock 880GM-LE
-OS installed WIN 8.1 64bit
-is it compatible with x1 stick of KINGSTON 8GB DDR3 PC1333 (KVR1333D3N9/8G) memory? (http://pcx.com.ph/components/memory/kingston-8gb-ddr3-pc1333-kvr1333d3n9-8g.html).

Build a new PC? It would be cheaper to buy 2 sticks of 4 GB RAM for your existing PC.
8 GB RAM in total is still a respectable amount for good performance, and very few applications or games require more than that even if you have several applications open at the same time.

slot 1 of the motherboard is damaged. already have an extra 4gb ddr3 1333mhz kingston(KVR13N9S8/4) tested on slot 1 and slot 2 of the motherboard. slot 1 is definitely not functioning. So buying a new Pc seems to be the only solution because changing motherboard is not an option. Even the cheapest motherboard with UEFI bios is still expensive. I dont want to get stuck on six core cpu amd 1090T. I soon want to upgrade to 8 core cpu, so i can
play watchdog and assassin creed unity properly. Shame i have to delay purchase of PS4 or XBOX ONE. 🙁
