Asrock 939NF4G-SATA2-overclocking

Hi everyone.
I have this Asrock 939NF4G-SATA2 board and Athlon 64 3000+ processor. So far i have managed to overclock the processor to 9x280 mhz = 2520 mhz with 1.45 v. The problem is, if i put FSB higher than 280 my computer doesn't boot in to windows or doesn't even post (yeah i have tried with lower multiplier). Any tips or tricks to get FSB higher than that? I have the newest bios (from Asrock's homepage) p1.5.

Also, with this board i cant get my memory to work at about 200 mhz (400 ddr). With the FSB at about 240 and memory set to 166 mhz the memory should work at about 200 mhz. But with these settings the computer wont post or if it posts it changes the memory to 133 (is it scaler @ english? or divider?). Whats wrong? and if i set the Fsb to 200 and memory to 200 it changes the memory to 166.

First off, list all your system specs, then we know whether something should work, or not. For future reference please list Mobo, CPU, RAM...(ie:2x1gb pc3200 rated for 2-3-2-5), PSU and cooling. TY

Ok here is the components i guess have some effect on overclocking:

Asrock 939NF4G-SATA2 mobo
Athlon 64 3000+ revision DH-E6 stepping 2 with Thermaltake Silent tower, idle at under 40 C, at full usage under 50 C
2x vm 512 ddr 400 2.5-3-3-8 @ 360 mhz 2.5-3-2-6 2T (worked greatly in my other mobo on 400 mhz 2.5-3-3-8, now its imbossible to get these to run @ 200 mhz @ any latencies 🙁 )
Fortron FSP350-60THN-P 350 W PSU
Asus GF 7600 GS @ 490/940
no any add-on cards @ pci buses

i have an ASRock 939 sata2 aswell and mine is fine.

i have the frontside bus at 233 mhz and the ram set with slightly looser timings. and its fine. have u set the command rate of the ram to 1T or 2T?

try running the system with a 2T command rate on the ram.
might clear ur problems. did mine.

ha. ill pay attention next time.
ive been farking around on my board, what is the ram compatibity mode set as??
when i changed it on mine to 'enable' my ram forced it self to run at 166. 'disabled' its back to 200.

maybe giving the ram a bit more juice?
only 3 options in the bios tho, Auto, high and normal. your guess is as good as mine.

I tested today to put memory divider to 200/166 and set the memory flexibleness (or whatever it was) to disabled and voila, the thing booted and worked with 240 fsb so ram was at about 200 mhz! But the bad news are that when i set multiplier to 8x and fsb to 300 and memory divider to 200/133 my computer didin't boot/POST . Probably on this motherboard u just cant get FSB a lot above 280 to work well...
