Asrock 960GM VGS3 FX + FX-6300 for gaming?

I'd like to ask whether an AMD FX-6300 6-core CPU would work well with my Asrock 960GM VGS3 FX motherboard? Somewhere I heard that the cooling of the chipset of this motherboard is not good enough for a strong CPU like that. I'd like to play games.. thank you!

Yup !!! I've been playing with this board for a month now and so far it's holding up. please note that you will not benefit from the full potential of this board unless it is overclocked. currently I have FX 4100 amd on this chip and an Nvidia 560 ti and 16 GB of kingston ram on it and it performs quite nice. Please note don't use the auto overclock since it is not that spectacular you I have to do a manual OC on my setup. 4.4 gig and a voltage setting of 4.2 volts in the bios is the most stable OC I got so far although I could ramp it to higher settings but I don want to damage the board in the process.
Here is my cpuz validation for a detailed view of my system. tested it running wprime on 1024 settings and it's perfectly stable and passed with flying colors.
