Asrock 970 Extreme 3 Sound Problem

Hi,

I've just installed win7 x64 and all the drivers and I have the problem that when I connect a headphone or any other speaker I get a buzzing sound and get the message that a jack connector was plugged in and out continously. I'm using the onboard sound. What can I do to make it work ?

Look like there is a faulty sound port. You should rma the mobo or use via front panel and configure it via audio driver as line-out.

The front panel has the same Issue. Are you sure its is a hw problem ?

Try reinstalling sound driver. I thought it was a sound port issue. But now it looks like chip issue as front panel shows the same. If reinstalling driver dont solve your issue then RMA the mobo.
