Asrock 970 extreme3 multiple issues, need help

Hi, i've had this motherboard for a while now and have always had issues with it. It refused to even power on unless I unscrewed the bottom 2 screws into the chasis. After that it's had random freezes, tells me there is no drive at random times, doesn't recognize my wireless adapter, and refuses to update bios. When trying to update the bios nothing happens, the screen stays the same and the mouse icon just flickers (this is a UEFI bios). I've tried every option available to flash the bios but nothing works.

I've unplugged the battery and reset the cmos several times which seems to solve the problem temperarily but it always returns in a short time. Also, when using a wireless adapter the motherboard hangs up at the opening screen for about a minute, if i remove the adapter (have tried several) it goes right through it as normal.

Should I just give up and get a new mobo or is this savable?

Hard to say.
What components using?
I'd try testing the board outside the case for a while, to rule out a short.
