Does ASRock 970A-G/3.1 motherboard support booting from m.2 slot with NVMe SSD Samsung 950 Pro 256 GB? and support booting from PCIe slot x4 ( Samsung 950 Pro 256 GB NVMe SSD with riser card) ? Currently am planning to buy ASRock 970A-G/3.1. Which protocol is being used in M.2 slot in this model NVMe or AHCI or SATA??? Please Suggest, and what is the settings in BIOS to boot from PCIe or M.2 slot NVMe if it supports ???
dont spend money on a dead platform
you may get the ssd to work with the adapter, but it will not be bootable and the slot speed would bottleneck the 950 into the dirt
>.> why in the blue blazes are you buying a 950 when you need to be spending that money on a proper ryzen/intel mobo
My current system hardware set up as below,
ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0,
AMD FX(tm)-4300 Quad-Core Processor × 4,
4 x 4GB DDR3 - 1333 MHz - Transcend,
Samsung Pro 950 SSD 256 GB,
SanDisk Xtreme 240 GB SSD,
NVIDIA GT 610.
Am going to change my motherboard since it will be given to my friend hence i need to buy another motherboard (only) for me which is already supporting boot from NVMe SSD with riser card. I can buy the same motherboard ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 but since i searched and found ASRock 970A-G/3.1 with M.2 Slot thought of moving to ASRock.
My motherboard budget is USD 125 / INR 8000 only. Also please fit my current hardware setup to the reasonable/affordable motherboard ?
