Having problems with ASRock 970m Pro3 and MSI GT710 graphics card, was having some issues with monitors not waking up after sleep (although computer does wake up). I could power off at mains and switch back on to get monitors to work but now even if I completely power off and power back on the monitors still won't come on now? Appreciate any advice on a checklist of possible issues please?

OK, with my limited knowledge I identified a couple of issues so its not related to the graphics card:

The SATA cable in the SSD was very lose it doesn't appear to 'click' in, I don't know if that's normal for a SSD? Anyway I swapped the SATA cable with a clip to one without that is a snug fit, so that solves that issue

The second issue is ram, I have 16GB (4x4GB) Corsair Vengeance Jet Black Low Profile 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 Dual/Quad Channel RAM [CML8GX3M2A1600C9]. I dunno if the board supports this, the default ram frequency is 1333 in the bios options, so I changed it to 1600. As soon as do this everything goes pear shaped, SATA devices disappear and I can't boot into windows. If i change the frequency back to 1333 everything seems to be fine again.

Would appreciate a few pointers please??
