Question ASRock A320M-DGS Single Channel Ram Downclock

Hi, i've build a pc with this specs:
ASRock A320M-DGS (AM4)
AMD Athlon X4 950
Gtx 1050 Ti
8GB Ram Stick (2400Mhz) (17-17-17-39)

So, the problem is that, in benchmarks and in the motherboard, i seem to not be able to get my ram to run at the advertised 2400 Mhz but just at 1200, is this a problem because i have only a single stick and, is there a way to fix it cause i have a CPU that's bottlenecking my pc in Games and a faster Ram could help, thanks in advance.

ddr ram, double data rate. it 1200x2 = 2400

Oh, thanks, I wasn't considering that... in that case... is there a way to safely overclock it?

return the ram. get a faster 2x4GB

Thanks for the help, in the future i'll need another 8 Gbs and a Better CPU so it doesn't matter that much...

mixing ram not in a kit sometime work, sometime don't
slow speed usually work.
