asrock a785gxh/128m mobo & Athlon II X2 240 Not working

Hi, I just recently got a asrock a785gxh/128m and a, amd Athlon II X2 240 Regor 2.8GHz ADX240CK23GQ.

I currently am using an older cpu, amd Athlon 64 X2 5000+ 2.59GHz, in the mobo. Running windows 7 ultimate 64Bit.

I updated my bios, and when I put the new cpu in, I just have a black screen. Fans turn on, etc.

You should use 2 sticks of identical ram or you will probably have problems

That power supply isn't even certified.

I'm pretty sure my PSU is certified. Everything is new.
