I am currently running a Ryzen 5 2400G with my ASRock AB350M Pro4 motherboard.

My question is if my desired CPU Upgrade, the Ryzen 7 2700X is compatible with it.

I've researched a little, but have found conflicting reports concerning it.

My question is, stability of the pair, compatibility, and what would I have to do in order for it to be stable together?

Is it worth it? Or should I just get a combo deal with a board?

Probably not, but the 2400g required the P4.50 BIOS while the 2700X requires the P4.70 BIOS. So there's a possibility...

you mean 4.4 and 4.5 https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/AB350M/index.asp#CPU

nevertheless you are right:)

Solution
Full specs are as follows.

ASRock AB350M PRo4
Ryzen 5 2400G
24 gigs DDR4 Team T force Delta RGB @ 2666
650 Watt Corsair PSU
EVGA GTX 1080 TI FTW2
Cooler Master Master Air CPU cooler
windows 10 Pro

Should I just attempt to swap without a bios update? Or should I go ahead and update bios?
My only concern is updating the bios, and then having stability issues.

I just checked.
It would appear I have the most up to date non beta Bios at 4.70.
