ASRock ALiveNF6G-VSTA Compatible CPUs

Hi I have a ASRock ALiveNF6G-VSTA motherboard. I'm looking for the best CPU to put in it. The ASRock website has a list of supported CPU's. http://www.asrock.com/mb/NVIDIA/ALiveNF6G-VSTA/?cat=CPU However I have looked around and according to this website http://www.pc-specs.com/mobo/ASRock/ASRock_ALiveNF6G-VSTA/1289/Compatible_CPUs it supports higher CPU's. Does anyone know what would be the best CPU for this board.

Thanks for the reply. The ASRock official listing only has 2 Phenom II X4 cpu's on there, but I'm wondering if the Phenom II X4 940 (3.0GHz) Black Ed AM2+ would fit?

I have just seen this on the ASRock website *If you use AM3 / AM2+ CPU on AM2 chipset motherboard, the system bus speed will downgrade from HT3.0 (5200 MT/s) to HT1.0 (2000 MT/s), but the CPU frequency will not be influenced

So I'm guessing that any CPU in this range would be OK, but it would just take a hit on the fsb

I probabley upgrade the mobo and the cpu instead of trying to just upgrade that cpu. I would go with the gigabyte ga 78 lmt mobo and fx 6300 unless your other parts are not compatible. If you dont wanna change the mobo, I would stay within what the manufacturer has for sure declared compatible. However you can put the other cpu with a hit on the fsb.
