Hi,
we have hust bought a second hand motherboard AsRock B365M PRO4 on Ebay, to replace our old Gigabyte one which suddenly broke. But once opened the package, we just found out that all 4 dimm slots have onlu a movable lever to lock and unlock the slots. On the other side it's just a solid plastic block which can't be moved. Anyway we tried to fit our Hyper-X Fury HX421C14FB/8 (ddr4 2133Mhz that the manual says they are compatible), But the ddr4 only goes down only on the side of the lever (left) and it doesn't make full contact and the left lever can't be closed. We pushed the dimm to the limit, but pushing it harder would damage it, quite sure of that. The seller says that many motherboards now only have a lever or even none, but we never saw such a thing! Even in this mobo's manual it's shown a drawing of a slot with both two levers. My boyfriend says that it's a counterfeit motherboard and we have been scammed. Can someone help us please to understand what is the truth and if we have to send this mobo back and ask for a refund immediately? Thank you so much in advance. I'm attaching some pics I made.

That's normal.

Probably installing it in wrong orientation.
My boyfriend says that it's a counterfeit motherboard and we have been scammed.
Nah. Ignorant boyfriend (or you're just blaming others for your own ignorance).

Watch some videos, how to install ram in a single sided latch ram slot.

Hi, thank you for your answer. Anyway I watched the video you linked and the otherboard we received doesn't have the two levers like the one featured in the video! And we didn't try to install our dimms in wrong orientation. Maybe you didn't watched the pics I attached or it wasn't clear enough the photo I made. My boyfriend isn't ignorant and use and assembly PCs since many many years and we never saw such a thing, so we strongly believe we were victims of a scam.
