No, if MB supports lower speed than actual RAM it will run only at lower speed in this case 3533MHz. Not much performance loss though.so im trying to upgrade from 2400mhz to a 3600mhz the board support 3533+ (OC) does that mean i have to buy a lower speed of ram? specs are r7 3700x rx 5700 xt gigabyte OC.
thank you

Yes, you can use any memory above MB and CPu limits except it will not run that fast but what those limits are. That goes for any system.so its fine to use 3600mhz?
thanks 1 more question if you dont mind will it underclock to 3533 or is it possible to get it to a 3600? wonderingYes, you can use any memory above MB and CPu limits except it will not run that fast but what those limits are. That goes for any system.
Most probably only up to 3533MHz but do check for updated BIOS, they may change something.thanks 1 more question if you dont mind will it underclock to 3533 or is it possible to get it to a 3600? wondering
