Asrock B450m Pro4-F - can't see M2_2 even when SATA3_3 and SATA3_4 are free
I've updated to the latest BIOS (2.8) thinking it might be that but still I get the same issue.
There are no devices in SATA3_3 or SATA3_4 but it still can't see the drive in M2_2
I only managed to get Windows 10 Pro 64-bit to see it when I removed M2_1.. which is not what I want at all..
Any ideas?

what is this m.2?
test it on another working pc?

it's a brand new WD 1TB blue nvme
It works fine when I remove the other M.2 drive and it sees it and it can format it all OK
But when I add the first M.2 which is an Adata XPG 256gb then it won't recognise the 2nd m.2 anymore, the WD one..
I'm beyond confused.. either a fault of the BIOS or the manual is wrong?

https://asrock.com/MB/AMD/B450M Pro4-F/index.asp#Specification

1 x M.2 Socket (M2_2), supports M Key type 2230/2242/2260/2280 M.2 SATA3 6.0 Gb/s module

sata type only

Basically when I remove the ADATA M2 from M2_1 then it can identify the WD M2 on M2_2 just fine.
But only then.

I removed every SATA cable connected device and still it wouldn't see it until I removed the other M2..
So I don't think the issue is the type of M2 unless I'm missing something?

You might want to fit a sata m.2 into m.2_2 just to see what the results are.
