Hi,
as the title said, I am looking for the Deep Sleep Option. My Bios does not have the Southbridge-Category under the Advanced tab, as described in the manual. I cannot find the option under ACPI Configuration, as eome posts suggest...Has the option been renamed? All I want is to power off my USB ports after shutdown.
Thanks!

2 different things. For usb options, look under peripherals tab. You can also find some in the Windows power plan options.

Sleep states are different. Last of the Southbridge was with FX cpus, now it's I believe the super i/o controller, and Northbridge as it was is now the pcie hub, the memory controller aspect is now inside the cpu.

Thanks for your reply.
Sadly, there's no Deep Sleep option in the Super I/O Controller tab and I cannot find a peripherals tab in the bios at all.

I already disabled fast boot in the windows power plan, I guess that's all I can do on that end...

I think you have to look for something called ERP in BIOS but the PSU has to meet ERP standards too. Or turn the PSU off with it's power switch at back; do that after shutdown.

That's the safest thing to do anyway is it disconnects the PSU from mains and so will never see surges if a lightening storm moves through your region. Even high-quality surge protectors only handle a few surges before they need replacement.
