Hi guys
i recently upgraded my PC with an Asrock B550M steel Legend + a Ryzen 3600 and a Samsung evo 970 NVME
My current storage setup is this:
M.2 SLOT 1 (PCIE GEN4) = Samsung Evo 970 500GB
M.2 SLOT 2 = Western Digital SN550 500GB
SATA Port = Western Digital Blue 500GB Sata SSD
at first all 3 drives were showing in bios & in windows , but i went on holiday and when i came back this morning and turned on the pc
the SN550 was gone in windows , and also in bios
First thing i did was re-seated the drive but no joy
then i updated the bios from the stock 1.70 bios to the new 2.20 bios
this resulted that the drive wasn't showing up in bios but it did show up again in windows
after a reboot the drive was gone again.
i think i did 40 reboots and sometimes it shows up in windows but mostly it does not
this drive was working fine and was hardly used before i upgraded
the second m.2 slot should support NVME drives as well , so i'm at a bit of a loss here
BTW my Sata drive is connected in SATA Port 1 , because i know sata 5-6 are shared with the M.2
