Hi everyone,

Desperately seeking help with my PC that has suddenly stopped booting after working flawlessly for months. Built it myself back in November 2023, primarily for gaming, and it's been working well until last night when it crashed and couldn't be revived.

Symptoms:
  • Won't boot at all, no signal to monitor.
  • Motherboard CPU and DRAM Post Status Checker lights stay on.
  • Checked forums and saw these lights are usually seen during first boot, not after months of use.
Troubleshooting Done (No Success):
  • Removed and reseated RAM stick tried booting in original and different slots.
  • Reseated CPU, GPU, and all other connections.
  • Visually inspected components for damage - nothing obvious.
  • All fans spin up upon powering on, but nothing on monitor and PSC lights stay on for DRAM and CPU.
Hardware Specs:
  • Motherboard: ASRock B650 PG Lightning
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600
  • RAM: Crucial 16GB DDR5 5600
  • GPU: Zotac RTX 3060 Ti
  • SSD: Intel 670p 1TB NVMe
  • HDD: Seagate BarraCuda 4TB
  • PSU: Seasonic S12III 650W

My next thought is replacing the RAM. But before I pull the trigger, I'm hoping someone here might have an additional troubleshooting suggestion I haven't tried! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Additional Details:
  • Any overclocking or BIOS modifications? No, everything running stock settings.
  • Any recent hardware or software changes? None before the crash.
  • Had seen issues a handful of times where the fans on the GPU would max out and the PC would crash in some games, changing the graphics settings in the games resolved this, but figured I'd mention it.
  • Event viewer or error logs? Unfortunately, haven't reached Windows since the issue started.
Thank you in advance for your time and expertise!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

I don't see you mentioning it, but did you clear the CMOS? Disconnect from te wall and display, remove the CMOS battery and press and hold down the power button for 30secs. Replace the CMOS battery after 30 mins and see if that helps.

Per your motherboard's manual;

Have one stick of ram on slot B2 on your motherboard. Use the other stick to see if that produces the same issue.
