I have just finished my first PC but when i try to boot the debugger cycles through multiple codes but then stops on code 99 which means there is a problem with the pci slot or gpu but my Gpu is getting the power needed and i have tried booting with out the gpu and with only one stick of ram. I'm really confused and could it be the motherboard causing all of it.

Specs:
I5 6600K
Asus Strix Gtx 1070
16GB of corsair dominater plats 2x8gb
Asrock Extreme 4 z170
Corsair 650w psu
Corsair carbide 400c
Crucial 275gb ssd
H100I v2

Any help is appreciated

Hello I just put together almost the same PC as ours :asus 1070 srix GPU asus strix Z270F Mb and kaby-lake cpu 4.2 ghz. Corsair venegance 2/8gb 3200ghz .Took me some time With trial an errors but it is now up and running win10 64 bit operating system
First of all you need to run win 10 64bit system, your gpu must be connected to the monitor via the DVI port on the gpu.and what realy saved me was that I took out one of the ram dimms and tried to boot with one stick only in A1 and it booted right up and no problems after that,In bios it says that the ram is running at 2133ghz but it is possible to set 3200 in bios but I have not done this sofar.I have contacted my vendor to get a clearans on the ram might get an answer next week, butit syas...

Just tried it however i still get the same error code but when i turn on the pc without the 8 pin in the gpu i don't get the 99 code but instead b2.

Hi again thats sounds ok,I did some more exeriments with the ram last night ,if you run with 2 sticks of ram I put one stick in a2 and on in B2 slots 8gig each and now it is running as it shoud have done in the first place, did a measuring test on my computer on the net,and I could not bellive my eyes when I saw the results, in userbenchmark.com oustanding,I am ready for all the games to be bought.
