Asrock Extreme 4, power delivery?

I was looking to get this motherboard but my PSU doesn't have a 8pin connector. I have two 6 pins taken by the GPU, 3 molex connectors. Would it work if I used 2 4pin's? or is that not the same.

Am I best off getting some form of splitter?

What power supply do you have? Odds are that your 24 pin line will also have a 4 or 4+4 line attached to it. If you have a 4+4, you just use them and essentially make an 8 pin plug.

What psu do you have, and which asrock extreme4 are you looking at (X79, Z77, or maybe there's others)?

Its a Silverstone 500w st50f-es. So I'm fine using two 4pins? Just looks the same black and yellow cabling as 6 pins.

Yep.

If you look closely at the mobo, you'll see the notches on the 8 pin receiver for the 2 4 pin clips.
