ASRock Fatal1ty X99X Killer shows Dr Debug Error codes 19 and b6, never POSTS

Hey Guys,

For testing purposes I have the motherboard sitting on my desk on the foam and anti static packing it shipped in. All I have connected is the CPU+CPU FAN, a single DIMM of memory in the A1 slot, Video card and the mobo and CPU power connections. Also an internal speaker.

The Memory I'm using is F4-2133C15Q-64GVR. The CPU is Intel 5820k. Video card is MSI Radeon R9 390 (previously working).

I seem to get error codes 19 and b6 no matter what I do. I replaced the motherboard, CPU and memory. I'll try a different PSU shortly, but it was working before this.

Did I really get two bad motherboards in a row? I saw two other posts on the forum with the exact same issue (one of whom was using the same memory), but they never posted back with a resolution.

Any help would be appreciated!

So after updating the BIOS from 1.90 to 2.10, the motherboard finally recognizes the 64GB G.Skill Ripjaws kit (F4-2133C15Q-64GVR).
More than a week of hassles and RMAs just for that. I had asked both the ASRock Tech and the G.Skill tech I was emailing with if there were any BIOS requirements for the Memory to work. Neither of them ever answered that question. G.Skill really needs to mention that in their compatibility list and ASRock needs to update their memory compatibility list altogether since it's quite dated and incomplete.

Thanks. I just tested all 8 slots, also resetting the CMOS in between tests. Results are all the same:

No beeps, Error codes 19 and b0.
 


Thanks, I have a second set of RAM modules (same model). I haven't tried every single slot, but I tried 3 or 4 slots. The results are identical.

Seeing as I've replaced everything, I'm wondering if I really did get two bad motherboards in a row. I've also private messaged some of the other people on this forum that had the same issue to ask how they resolved it, but I have not heard back yet.

I'm at a loss.
 


Ahh ok. I emailled both G.Skill and ASRock and both say the memory should work. However I was also wondering if maybe the boards need a BIOS update or something before it can recognize the bigger 16GB DIMMS (just total speculation on my part).
I have ordered a set of F4-2400C15Q-32GRR, smaller memory, still GSkill Ripjaws, for testing. I ordered this set because I saw people in the reviews had successfully used it with the ASRock X99X Killer motherboard. I'm hoping it will come in tomorrow.
 


After installing this memory F4-2400C15Q-32GRR, was able to get system to POST. Will try to update the BIOS and see if I can then use the aforementioned 64GB kit.
