I recently bought this motherboard because i wanted an upgrade. I went to install my i5 7600k that i just ordered into the z270 gaming k6 motherboard and it gave me a 00 code from the dr. debug on the motherboard. It starts up for about 5 seconds and then shuts off and 2 seconds later it turns back on with the same error code. I went to my brothers computer and it told me that the cpu isnt working so I think the motherboard fried my cpu? or it was a faulty cpu to begin with? ive reset cmos, battery, re installed my cpu. made sure all pins and connectors were installed properly. i tried to use just one stick of ram and nothing changed. Nothing is working. should i just forget about this motherboard.
