Hey everyone,

I own the ASRock Fatal1ty Z87 Killer and I was wondering if I would be able too run SLI ( I want to get the 980 ti hybrid ). If yes would I be able to still run my 770 4gb card as a dedicated PhysX card with the SLI ??

Thanks

edit: I'm not that techy but I was reading that when you use the second PCI slot it goes down too 8x and when you use the third PCI slot it is now 4x. Does that affect SLI at all ??

Yes you can run SLI at dual x8 add ing a physics card will cut things, to x8 -x4 - x4 (not sure why you would want/need a physics card), this all is a limitation of the number of PCI-E lanes available from the CPU, to overcome that would bneed need a mobo with a PLX chip

Thanks for the reply.

When thing's get cut down too 8x or even 4x does that effect the performance of SLI ?? I figured if the PhysX would boost frames a little why not give it a try. I had the 770 laying around.
