Im upgrading my current pc and i want to get an Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor but i want to be able to OC it to 4.0GHz will a ASRock Fatal1ty Z97 Killer LGA 1150 Intel Z97 ATX Intel Motherboard be able to support doing this ?

any help is appreciated.

The chipset is what determines overclocking. For the Intel K series CPUs it is the Z97 chipset that you need to be able to overclock. That board will allow you to overclock decently and probably easily hit 4GHz.

As well make sure you get a really good after market cooler for the CPU to avoid any issues with heat.
