Asrock Fatality 990fx Killer Best compatible CPU

Hey guys, my buddy bought a computer for me to build and I put it all together and booted up and said the CPU is not on the supported list. Was wondering if anyone could be so kind as to link me the best amd CPU that is compatible with this MB please?

"AMD FD9370FHHKWOF FX-9370 FX-Series 8-Core Black Edition"
is the CPU that he had bought. I looked it up and it says it isn't compatible. Its a brand new build just finished putting it all together like 2 hours ago and booted it up and it said that it wasn't even compatible.
First build I've ever had this issue with. So now I'm just trying to figure out which one is the best to use that WILL work lol.

Then your board must have the original BIOS version. All but the very latest CPU work. You will have to find a FX-8350/8370... or pick up a cheap Sempron on ebay to use to flash the BIOS.

Thing I don't understand is that the AMD FD9370FHHKWOF FX-9370 isn't on the support list though.

It may not have been designed for a 220W CPU. Trust me, you don't want the FX-9370 anyway. I didn't realize you had that CPU until you mentioned it. Shoot Asrock a support email and ask them their thoughts on it. The board may only be safe with 125W processors. The socket may overheat with that CPU.

Alright man, So pretty much your conclusion would be only 125W or less and any FX CPU should work?
I will still be shooting AsRock an email in regards to it all and looking at all the specs on the board to verify the 125w issue.
