[SOLVED] ASRock H270M Pro4 Overclock i5 6600k?

hi just a quick question, is it possible to overclock an i5 6600k with the ASRock H270M pro4 motherboard, had a look around google, couldn't really find any descent answers.

For all practical purposes no, you can't overclock an H series motherboard.

okay thank you, i have 2 other motherboards i can use, a Gigabyte B360M HD3 and Gigabyte B250M-DS3H, would any of them be any good for it or no?

if not is there any you would recommend.

The Gigabyte B360M HD3 is for eight and ninth generation Intel processors only. The Gigabyte B250M-DS3H will support the I5-6600K, but it will not support overclocking.

For overclocking there are basically two options on the I5 6600K. Those are the Z170 or the Z270 motherboards. The Z370 and Z390 motherboards will not work for the sixth gerneration processors (like the I5-9900K).

If you like the Asrock brand, this one is on sale. It will support the I5-6600K and it will overclock the CPU.
