ASRock H61M-VG4 and GTX960

My question here is does anyone else own this board and a 900 series card?

Is my board broken or is the card broken? EVGA has agreed to RMA the card but it could be the board too. Any ideas would be helpful.

1) the old GPU worked on your MB.
2) The gtx960 does not work on your friend pc.

So your MB is fine, only the gtx960 has problem because it had the missing parts. So wait for the new GPU.

The GTX960 DOES WORK with my friend's mobo. AND, his Vid card (R9 270) works with my mobo. The factor is the GTX960. It really might be incompatible with the ASRock board, which by all means, it should be a perfect match.

The only exception is that the GTX960 has some physical damage which could be causing a problem with the ASRock board. I am RMA'ing the vid card. Even if I could get it to work, it may not work perfectly nor would it work forever because of the damage.

Sorry, I missed that. And your MB has the pcie2.0x16 ( because the 2600k can only support the pcie2.0x16), so that the gtx960 should be compatible with the asrock MB. I know you RMA the GPU, that why I said wait for the GPU, and try it when you get the new one back.
