What cpu will you be using? Moterboards dont tend to affect your performance at all, if they do its only by a frame or two. You need to make sure the cpu you use is compatible with that motherboard. I recommend using pcpartpicker to test compatibility. But any 4th Gen Intel processor would work.
Assuming this is your motherboard, that processor is compatible with a BIOS update to version P1.50. Before purchasing, ask the seller what version BIOS is installed.
It’s the H81 pro Btc 2.0 I think you said that cpu is compatiable with that motherboard and does not require a bios update to run it on another question I asked
MERGED QUESTION Question from dylanwilkinson81 : "Compatiable motherboard for this cpu?"
dylanwilkinson81 :
Hi I just bought an i5 4690k and I'm looking for a cheap motherboard for my setup https://gyazo.com/ca13688071ac11af8d863e22588cde8e I'm not fixing to spend 100 dollar+ on a darn motherboard. Pc part picker doesn't wanna give me a cheap motherboard cause it keeps saying Warning: These parts have potential issues/incompatibilities. Please I need help on what to pick. I really wanna try this new cpu out badly. I just game on this pc. Also I don't know anything about bios updates.

Any z97 or h97 will work. Probably have to buy used.
Edit: are you from the South?
ElectrO_90 :
get a second hand z97 - stay away from h97
dylanwilkinson81 :
I just found ASRock h81 pro 1150 on Amazon 80 dollars would that work
J_E_D_70 :
Get a Z97 so you don't have to mess with BIOS upgrades or any incompatibilities. But, will have to be refurbished or something local like craigslist to keep cost down.
ElectrO_90 :
Quite a few nice ones on Amazon

More than likely, it will work, but we need to know which version of the ASRock H81 motherboard you're looking at to tell whether or not it requires a BIOS update. PC Part Picker lists quite a few versions.
