So, I've had my computer for a few weeks now, freshly built essentially. Everything went perfect to my amazement being my first build. What I was missing was a few case fans. Which I just got today, to keep everything nice and cool. Now before I tell you my problem if like to say I haven't had an error or a problem in any shape or form up until now. So I installed all my fans today, one in the front and in the back, I didn't plug any into the motherboard because I have a fan controller. The only ones I did have plugged into the motherboard was the cpu fan and the default front fan which I ended up connecting to my fan controller today as well. Everthing went as it should, how could it go wrong, I was just installing some fans. Well when I hooked everything back into it (keyboard, mouse, headphones, hdmi) and it I logged into windows and such. I opened my Asrock eXtreme tuner so I could turn my cpu fan speeds down. But instead of the usual menu popping up I got "error: 0xFFFE" I have no idea what it means, how or why it got/ is there. Any help would be appreciated. I've never seen this before. My motherboard is: Asrock 970m Pro3

Solution
That's possible. Next step, plug one of the fans back into the motherboard and see :)

If you Google this, you will see this is a problem that has occurred before, but usually with software changes, not hardware changes.

My CPU is the fx 8320. Spec01 and I'm not sure which fan controller, I threw out the box for it. Again, no troubles with anything until now. Do you think that unplugging a fan from the motherboard would've done it? My fan controller is connected to the power supply not motherboard so.
