So,

I recently built a new computer that wouldn't show a display. For the past week ive been trying to solve the problem, buying new RAM, listening to beep codes, but nothing seemed to work. I finally accepted that the mobo was dead and it was time to RMA. BUT! Before I was about to do so. Something came across my mind. Here is my build:

ASRock X99 Extreme4

Intel 6800k
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117649&cm_re=6800k-_-19-117-649-_-Product

This are the only two parts you need to know for the question. My thought was, well if the BIOS aren't updated for the motherboard, is that what is causing no display to happen? So my question is:

Does anyone know if this motherboard comes updated for the new Broadwell E processors?
And if not, Could that be why there is no display when my computer starts?

Solution
I think I would call Asrock and see what they suggest. They might be able to swap it out, or maybe even have you send the board iun for them to update the BIOS and test the motherboard in the process.
It could be:

  • ■bad or cheap cable
    ■out of date BIOS
    ■Motherboard problem
    ■defective video card
    ■wrong setting in BIOS
    ■defective memory
■something not installed on the motherboard correctly.
■the stars not being in the proper alignment for you.

Well I have tested different PSU's, Different RAM's, Different video cards. When I take out the ram, the motherboard speaker beeps three times(For missing memory) But when I put RAM back in its completely normal. But when hooked up to monitor it just says no signal. But every pary of the computer is running.

The same thing would happen. And both are video cards I know worked. The only thing I havent tried swapping is the motherboard and the CPU. So at this point im ordering a new BIOS Chip with updated bios. Hopefully this will fix it.

Have tried that as well, just no display. Like I said too, when I remove the ram, it beeps 3 times for the proper error, so I dont think the motherboard is bad. And I have swapped out it out with a different PSU and still nothing. The BIOS make sense because I have version 2.0 and I need 3.0 for support for Broadwell E. But if you still have any suggestions I am open!
