Asrock P67 Extreme4 with Radeon HD 6870 not working in top PCIe slot

I have an Asrock P67 Extreme4 MoBo and I can't get any of my 6870's to work in the top PCIe slot. The strange thing is that they all work in any of the other slots so it's definitely not the video card. I tried using my GTX 470 in the top slot and it worked fine. What's going on?

It ends up 2 pins on the CPU were bent and caused all the problems. After fixing them it worked like a charm.
