[opinion] .. wow that heat sink color really looks bad to me yuck.. [ex4 and 6] seems they could of done better then blue. noncool style can hurt sales.

I'm disappointed that they're moving away from the all black and gold scheme, especially for the mini-ITX board. Colored card slots can be a real deterrent when buying a board that is going to be visible. The light blue is especially bad.

as long as extreme4 is cheap. it will inherit the throne for the best bang for the buck mobo, following z77 and z87 extreme4

I do love the E4 boards ( been very happy with my Z68, ) but I think the E3 might be the slightly better bang / buck. The E4 mainly just offers eSATA over the E3, and not as many people care about that now with USB 3.0.

most people favor extreme4 because it is the cheapest board with 12 phase VRM and very good OC ability. while e3 has only 8 phase

True, but does a 12-phase matter as much as it used to with Haswell moving the VRM onto the chip? ( serious question since I'm not a die hard OCer. )

^ no, haswell integrate "VRM controller" onto the chip
the VRM stays on the mobo. Yes 8, 12, or 16 phase matters
