[SOLVED] Asrock Steel legend B450 cpu upgrade question.

Hello,

My motherboard asrock steel legend b450 is currently 1.5 years old and running ryzen 2400g + 16GB ddr4 3000Mhz + gtx 1660 super.
I would like to upgrade the cpu to better 8 core one and I have shortlisted,

Ryzen 7 3700X
Ryzen 7 3800XT
Ryzen 7 5800X

per https://www.asrock.com/mb/amd/b450 steel legend/#CPU all the above CPUs are supported (but I believe, I will have to upgrade the firmware)

I plan to do this to get better performance in gaming (msfs2020 mainly).
And also to get my pc eligible for windows 11 upgrade.
Any thoughts?

Any of those will be supported, just update bios. 3700x is a better buy than a 3800xt. 5800x is better yet.

I had forgot to mention that currently I am using “corsair cx series 450 watt bronze certified psu” Will that be ok to run new processor?
