so, as the title says, i am thinking about getting ryzen 5 3600, but im gonna pair it with x370 board from asrock, cus im in real tight budget right now (i just broke my motherboard and my phone at the same time, so i need a new phone and new hardware for my pc)
my current pc spec :

i7 6700
z170a tomahawk (broken)
gtx 1070 msi
16gb ddr4 3000mhz vengeance rgb
samsung 850 evo 250gb
barracuda 1tb

and while im getting a new part for my pc, i just thought about switching my i7 6700 to ryzen 5 3600..
so, is x370 board will have some issues when paired with 3rd gen ryzen? or it will be just fine?

Solution
The motherboard can work fine with a 3600.

However, any X370 motherboard may require a BIOS update to function with a newer CPU like the 3600 since your x370 board released 2 years before a 3600.

You need to ensure the board has this bios update or buy an older CPU to update the bios.

You will need BIOS version P5.80, or newer, installed on that motherboard before installing the Ryzen 5 3600.
