Hey all you smart PC guys out there...

I just built a new RYZEN 1800X system (first build in my life that i have done completely without help) and have been having some serious post-build issues that could possibly be a motherboard hardware issue or worse. I will go through the whole history with you guys of what I did today to best describe how I got here:

1.) Initial Attempt: Computer started and fans were spinning, but no POST. I read the following error codes on my motherboard: 02 42 dE Ad 30 OC
2.) I shut everything down and unplugged, and hit the CLR CMOS button.
3.) Restarted, and i was able to POST and get into the BIOS. On the restart cycle, TONS of error codes flashed very quickly and then disappeared. I was then able to start the windows 10 install from USB,and noticed my old 3 TB HDD was set as primary. I shut everything down & unplugged the 3 TB drive so i could primary install OS on M.2 solid state.
4.) Restarted, and started Windows 10 install onto the M.2 solid state.
5.) The computer crashed during windows 10 install and entered a crash loop showing error code 00, as shown in my dropbox video (see links below).
6.) I hard shut everything down and unplugged, hit CLR CMOS 1 more time, then restarted and was able to finish my Win 10 Install.
7.) Once in windows, the crash loop happened again. I got in touch with Microcenter and they recommended that I flash the BIOS to the latest. I used RUFUS on the new PC and was able to reformat the USB and paste over the latest 2.00 BIOS from the ASROCK website.
8.) Restarted PC, mashed F2 and got into BIOS. BIOS recognized my USB, and I was able to successfully flash the BIOS to 2.00.
9.) I shut down the PC then hit the power button while recording a video of the motherboard error codes on restart (again see below). I got back into windows and was able to get chrome installed and started to look for the latest drivers. And then....the crash loop happened again... (the video provided is the last crash loop that occurred. I did not record it the 1st time but ultimately it was the same issue and i had to hard shut-down both times.

So now the thing is off. I need someone with more PC understanding than I have to help guide me to possible problem areas. If there was an errror code i have seen more often than not after the crazy error code cycle on restart, it would have to be A6. Sorry for the long post guys...but please post something if you have a clue. Otherwise I am tearing this thing apart and returning it to Microcenter, and I will buy all the parts again from Amazon in a month or 2 when the Motherboard manufacturers fix all these issues.

ONE MORE THING: MICROCENTER gave me an open box board with bent "capsules" that must be part of the HD audio system, see photo also at same Dropbox link. I decided to build anyways because it will be awhile before this board comes back in stock i think... I did have enough brians to get a 2 year Microcenter return guarantee on the open box motherboard ONLY when i bought all the parts.

Please let me know if there is any further information that you might need to help me. I will do my best to obtain it, and can provide video links on here as well. I am hoping its a software issue (fingers crossed)...

Thank you rgd for your response. I removed the RAM sticks in A2, B1, & B2, and i reseated A1. It actually got worse, now the PC wont even POST and it shuts itself off and keeps restarting in a loop.

I did change something else as well, i had to unseat my video card to get to the RAM so i put the video card back into a more accessible PCI slot further away from CPU cooler. Otherwise it is literally right up against the Noctua assembly, and there is already a small scratch on the video card from touching the sharp metal heatsink.

I took a video of this next attempt with it may be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/uyj88uj1k9wa8cg/AAA_5fG-oXTNFk5KOKH4dNHua?dl=0

Please help!!!!

Further to my previous comment, the final error code before the system crashes is "0d" in case the video is unclear.

I reseated the (1) memory stick again and have tried removing all the Sata ports due to a recurring A6 error and did CLR CMOS again, now its saying that it cant find a bootable device (my M.2 solid state is installed on the board still and I already installed windows 10 on it). I have yet to boot this system without the motherboard flashing tons of errors really really fast. Everything seems to be plugged in correctly so i really have no idea what is going on.

Does anyone think my motherboard might simply be a bad apple that needs to get returned?

You should read the user guide first. Always install the Ram into A2, B2 before install them in A1, B1.
Now try only one ram in A2 and see!

I did read the user guide, and it said to put just 1 stick into A1. But I already returned that motherboard as well, and I have an Asrock Fatal1ty X370 Professional Gaming on the way now.

I am now searching for new memory after understanding that RYZEN is impacted significantly by memory speeds:

Where did you read that you need to install 1 stick into A1?
This is the Dram installation Guide of Asrock X370 Taichi:

A2 and B2 first!
Here is the user guide of my X370 Krait gaming:

This is well known for all AM4 board. If you dont know this, you will sill have problem with your new board!
You can also read these tips for Ram in Asrock forum:

Tip #2. Memory sticks belong in slots A2 and B2. No if's and's or but's.

Hoang,

Thanks for pointing this out, I will be sure to try that on my new board first, although I will be filling all 4 DIMMs so does it matter if that is the case? I will be sure to first bench test the motherboard on top of the cardboard box it came in this time...

Guys,

I think my crashing issue on the X370 Taichi may have been due to the CPU fan being plugged into the wrong 4 pin connector. It is possible that I had it this way the whole time and that caused the crashing, and I am willing to admit that this would have been a huge noob mistake.

In addition, it is also possible that the error codes on startup were nothing to worry about. I got a completely new build now, its running fine, and I have confirmed on the Asrock forums that error codes on startup are normal and should not be a concern:

I just wanted to get the links on here for anyone else who runs into similar problems or has similar concerns with their new board!

I will update if i run into any issues down the line.
