Hi,

I have Asrock X570 Taichi motherboard flashed with latest bios version (v2.11) running Ryzen 3700x. I just installed G.Skill Trident 32GB memory (4x8GB) (https://www.newegg.ca/g-skill-32gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820232863?Item=N82E16820232863) and the computer won't POST. It seems to get to a status code of "Ad" on Dr. Debug and then power cycles. I cannot seem to find what Ad really means. I can get 2 of the modules to work just fine (in slots A2 and B2) at 3600. Adding a third or the fourth module (in any combination) seems to cause problems. I have reset CMOS several times to no availe.

I'd appreciate any ideas or guidance with getting the computer to POST with all four modules attached!

First try removing all USB devices, even USB cords plugged into the board, and reset CMOS then try it again. If you get the same error, try cycling around the RAM modules to see if it's a faulty RAM stick (since you say A2 and B2 works fine). And if none of those options work, then you simply have a faulty board.

You can get more help by listing you full system specs.

It harder to get 4x8 sticks to run.
Try lowering the dram frequency.
Or try adding some dram voltage.
Maybe even the combination then report back hopefully the experts will come in to help.

I just got the RMAd motherboard back and it has the same issue. The bootup process stops at code "Ad".

Here are the specs:
Motherboard: Asrock Taichi X570
CPU: Ryzen 3700x with stock cooler
Mem: Trident Z Neo, F4-3600C0-16Q-32GTZNC
Video: EVGA GTX 1070

The computer POSTs fine with 3 sticks in any combination (sometimes gets stuck with A1A2 but boots fine if retried).

I tried increasing voltage to up to 1.5 and increased cycles to 20-x-x-x as well and several variations of those. The default clock the 3 sticks come up on is 2133. May be I will RMA the RAM next.

Edit: Added ram clock speed.

I drove to a nearby store and got one 4x8GB ram and that seems to POST fine. That RAM is F4-2666C19D-16GNT. I will check the taichi QVL list again and see if I can get a different mem.

Have you tried just 2 sticks in the 2nd and 4th slots working right from the cpu?

It looks as the g.skill you bought is on the qvl. But as stated earlier it is harder to get 4 stick to run.
The cpu mem controller is 3200mhz.
4 sticks at 3600 would take quite abit to get running.
A good way around the mem controller issue is to run 2x16 for 32gb then you can run over the 3200mhz.
Give 2 sticks a try with cmos reset
Then set the xmp, docp, a-xmp which ever it is for asrock boards then set dram / ram frequency to the 3600 on those sticks.
