Asrock X670E Steel Legend can't sleep after update bios to 1.09 / 1.11
Working fine on bios version 1.07

CPU : Ryzen 7 7700X
RAM : Corsair Vengeance 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 5600MHz C36
GPU : RTX 3080 Ti
OS : Windows 11 22H2

I have
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X T ray AM5 Zen4 16x4,5GHz
RAM: DDR5 AM5 PC5600 Kingston 32GB KIT (2x16GB) Fury Beast RGB
GPU: MSI RT X3090T i GAMING X T RIO 24GB DDR6 V509-014R
OS: Windows and Linux

Was a bit Voodo. When in full 5600 Speed sleep works but my fans blow at full speed (you must switch off after settings change!). With 5400 the sleep worked (also switch off). After flashing all the settings in the bios are gone. You have to set them again (e.g. switch of bluetooth and wlan because broken mediatek driver causes bluescreen in windows). Now i have enabled 75°C thermal throttling and sleep mode is working again. It only worked when i first set to 5600 with the fan error and after that setting to 5400.

Hope this helps. Somewhere else i found the 5400mhz hint for the sleep.
Best Regards
Markus

Same motherboard? must be a bios problem, since they new boards I would expect its fixed by a BIOS update... once they are told about problem... did you report it?

Yes i have an Asrock 670E Steel Legend Board. I don't know if there are different Board revisions. And yes it should be fixed by a BIOS update. And no i didn't even know where to report it. On the other hand it's a complex problem due to different processors and different memory.

Asrock likely have 1 bios for all X670 boards.
Problem appears to be the ram speed won't work with sleep. I doubt its specific to CPU & Ram maker.

I would post about it on here as you would think they look at their own forums - https://forum.asrock.com/default.asp
other option is contact support - https://tw.asrock.com/events/tsd.asp

Thanks for the hints. I just described how i get it working for me and my configuration and hope it helps other with the same problem.
