Community, I have a 3930K plugged into an Asrock X79 Extreme 11 motherboard with 48gb of Corsair Dominator memory populating all 8 slots.

Recently, the computer just powered down completely and now hangs on debug code 32.

To isolate the issue I have:

1. Cleared BIOS
2. Removed CMOS battery for 30 mins + / replaced CMOS battery with new one
3. Removed all RAM and individually tested each slot with good memory from other system
- the motherboard does give a different code if no memory is installed at all - implying the motherboard is good
4. Unplugged the CPU power (8pin plug) - the motherboard wouldn't turn on at all. Implies that power is going to CPU

I don't have another 2011 platform to pull the cpu out and test it. The chip was cooled with a Kraken X60 and thermal protection was enabled, so I do not believe the chip fried.

I'm at a loss...anyone have any ideas? The code says "cpu post-memory initialization is started"

Solution
Either the motherboard or CPU. What voltage were you running the ram at? populating all the memory slots puts a big load on the MC(memory controller) and if yo combine that with high voltage you may have fried the MC which is located on the CPU.
