Question Asrock x870e noba

I am doing my first amd build and was going to go with the asrock x870e nova.my hesitation is a review saying it had no external clock generator for the cpu blck causing overclocking issues.just wondering if anyone more informed than i could say if the board was good for overclocking.thanks!

Overclocking latest Ryzen is moot point unless you are serious overclocker looking for some fame and records and for that using simple MB with good VRM is more useful. For best performance, just good cooling and careful tuning does best job.
Only advantage of x870 over X670 MBs is in chipset capabilities like more PCIe v5.0 lanes and USB 4.
