Three days ago I updated my ASRock Z270 Extreme4 to the latest BIOS version, 2.40. It was just uploaded to their website on January 19th. However, I went on the ASRock website today, and it appears they removed the download link for 2.40: https://www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/Z270%20Extreme4/index.asp#BIOS
According to https://www.asrock.com/support/index.asp?cat=BIOS, Version 2.40 did this:
1.Update Skylake CPU Microcode to revision C2 and Kabylake CPU Microcode to revision 80. (For CPU security update)
2.Improve memory compatibility.
Version 2.30 is now the latest one available for download. Is there some problem with 2.40, causing ASRock to remove it from their website? I haven't noticed anything weird so far, but assuming this is deliberate, I'd like to know the reason for version 2.40's removal.
