Asrock Z270 Pro 4 Won't Post, No Display No Beeps

Hi Everyone,

I'm having problems with my first build. Despite the mobo turning on, fans turning on I cannot get it to boot.
The added problem is that my motherboard (as far as I'm aware) has no internal speaker or LED's, meaning that trying to establish what is wrong is virtually impossible.

I've been through all the necessary checks: Breadboarding, taking out the Ram completely, resetting cmos but I still get no display.

Here's my hardware:

Mobo: Asrock Z270 Pro
CPU: Intel Core i5-7500 3.40 GHz
PSU: EVGA 650 GQ
Ram: Crucial 8GB DDR4 2400 MT/s

Does anyone have any ideas why this won't work or how you debug with no post beeps?

Thanks,
Joe

No problem. No video with no RAMs. You need at least one module inserted.

Thanks, I'll try that now and will go through the checklist. Am I correct in thinking that with no RAM installed that I should still be able to get some video output?

I can't thank you enough for this. I moved my ram into the third slot (Breadboarding) and it finally booted.
