Hi,

So I understand the difference between 3-pin and 4-pin fan connector and DC/PWM control mode. However one thing confuses me. This is my fan configuration:

CHA_FAN1 - 3-pin fan
CHA_FAN2 - 4-pin PWM fan
CHA_FAN3/W_PUMP - 3-pin fan
CPU_FAN1 - 4-pin PWM fan
CPU_OPT/W_PUMP - 3-pin fan

I can controll speed of all my fans, but only on CHA_FAN3/W_PUMP and CPU_OPT/W_PUMP I have the option to choose a fan control mode (DC or PWM) in BIOS. Obviously I have them set as DC as I have 3-pin fans connected to them, but why can I choose control mode only on those two headers and not the rest? Does it mean that only those two headers have both PWM/DC control mode and all other only DC ? If yes, I guess there's no point in paying extra to get a 4-pin PWM fan if it's going to be connected to one of these 3 headers, right ?
