[SOLVED] Asrock Z390 Phantom Gaming 4

I plan to use this motherboard for bitcoin mining. Anyone know how many GPU it supports? It's bit confusing on the web site.
It says:

• 2 x PCI Express 3.0 x16 Slots (PCIE2/PCIE4: single at x16 (PCIE2); dual at x16 (PCIE2) / x4 (PCIE4))
• 3 x PCI Express 3.0 x1 Slots (Flexible PCIe)

Will i only get one GPU at x16 (aPCIE2) ? or I can get two GPU at x16 (aPCIE2) without SLI?
Will it support 5 GPUs?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You should look into a motherboard that's meant for mining, due to all the PCIe slots you're going to need.

You mean ethereum mining?
For mining it doesnt matter the PCI-E lanes!
You have 5 PCI-E slots, so with risers it means yes... you can USE 5 GPU's for mining no problems!
Windows/Linux would recognize them and you can mine with them!

Actually you have 2x M.2.. with adapter you can use them too for plugin PCI-E risers and use them for connecting to GPU!
(Total of 7 GPU's, but you have to set the M.2 to be PCI-E not Sata!)

Thank you very much for your resposne. Great to know that it will support 7 GPU. I have two RTX 3060 cards. I heard that they needs full x16 lanes or 8 lanes to maximize their hashrate. So the questions for this (PCIE2/PCIE4: single at x16 (PCIE2); dual at x16 (PCIE2) / x4 (PCIE4) :
If I run the two RTX 3060 on PCIE2, PCIE4 , will it get both at x16 or one at x16 and the other at x4?

Well since I cannot get my hands on 3060 yet.. I cannot confirm or deny that... I'm currently working with RX 580 yet .. they work fine with x1 lane.

Thank you very much for the quick response. I may just well pass this motherboard for now unless it's confirmed that they will work for two RTX 3060.

It will work, the 3060 can work on Pcie 8.0 for sure which that mobo has.
